The Worker’s Compensation Therapist will deliver a range of therapeutic services including individual, couple/family, and group therapy, along with evaluations to arrive at a diagnostic impression that informs treatment recommendations/planning and ongoing service delivery.
They will collaborate closely with the Clinical Directors to ensure effective treatment planning and implementation as part of the Worker’s Compensation or No-Fault System of Care.
Must be able to work on-site at our location in Ocean County.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and respond promptly to assigned intake referrals
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and support diagnostic formulation
- Establish diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans appropriate to level of licensure and supervision requirements
- Independently manage treatment planning and clinical decision making
- Provides therapy sessions for individuals and groups presenting for treatment as part of the Worker’s Compensation or No-Fault System of Care.
- Collaborates with the Clinical Director to ensure documentation meets the standards set forth by PAX Health and fulfills the requirements of other stakeholders.
- Confers with the Clinical Director regarding the impact of clinical work on legal processes.
- Participates in depositions for Worker’s Compensation cases as needed.
- Remains in good standing concerning professional licensure status and Worker’s Compensation authorization/credentialing status.
- Ensures quality, professional, and ethical clinical documentation standards.
- Displays timely, respectful, and responsive communication with Clinical Director and Administrative staff.
- Responds to and adheres to standards and directives set forth by the Clinical Director.
- Participates in in-service training programs.
- Participate in quality assurance duties including, but not limited to, chart auditing, procedure development, documentation creation and implementation, documentation/licensure compliance, and oversight of treatment pre-authorizations.
- Abide by PAX Health code of ethics and model values
- Other duties as needed within the scope of the role.
Requirements:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor
- Valid New Jersey State License
- Ability to work as part of a comprehensive community mental health team and to represent the agency in the community.
- Familiarity with community support systems, health care and human service resources, court and police activities, etc.
- Good organizational skills and administrative abilities.
- Ability to communicate with clients and staff members through various forms of communication, including email and phone.
- Computer literacy is required. Must be able to use Word, Excel, etc.
- Flexibility in days and hours available for scheduled work including weekends.
- Knowledge of and the ability to adhere to a professional code of ethics.
- Knowledge of and the ability to comply with the state’s mental health code.
- Appropriate professional registration/certification by state/national authority required.
