Lauderdale, FL 33309Shift: 8am- 5pmDuration: 4 months Position OverviewThe Inventory Clerk (Contractor) plays a critical role in supporting warehouse operations by safely handling, moving, and storing hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

  • This role is temporary and focuses on maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting production and shipping needs, and ensuring inventory integrity through regular cycle counts and audits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport materials and goods between designated warehouse locations.
  • Pull and verify materials listed on production orders, including pick tickets for repair, sales, and kitting.
  • Ensure proper labeling, organization, and storage of inventory items.
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Identify, label, and record inventory locations; report shortages and discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances to support perpetual inventory accuracy.
  • Inspect incoming goods for damage; verify quantity and quality against purchase orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in warehouse or material handling preferred.
  • Basic understanding of inventory systems and cycle counting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with hazardous material handling procedures is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

  • Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
