Job Description

Job DescriptionLHH is partnering with a national company that is looking for a temporary Accountant. This individual will be focused on month-end close tasks such as reconciliations, reporting, and journal entries. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of progressive accounting experience and have advanced Microsoft Excel skills. The position is fully onsite in Seattle, WA and will last about three months. The team is looking for someone immediately, so a quick interview process is offered to get someone started within a week. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close process.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Generate and analyze financial reports to support management decision-making.
  • Assist with the preparation of supporting documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and clarify transactions.
  • Maintain and update accounting records in Microsoft Excel and other financial systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger functions and month-end close processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail when reconciling accounts and preparing reports.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $40.00 per hour
