Fraud Administrator
Brief Summary
As a key member of the Risk Management team, the Fraud Administrator plays an essential role in protecting the integrity of the credit union while delivering exceptional service to our members. This dynamic position is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and addressing suspicious or irregular account activity to help safeguard our members' financial assets. Utilizing advanced fraud detection tools and investigative methods, the Fraud Administrator works proactively to mitigate risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold a secure and trusted banking environment—making a tangible impact on both the credit union and the members we proudly serve. This is a remote position, candidate may work from a home office in Minnesota, Wisconsin, or Illinois.
Key Responsibilities
- Detects and analyzes unusual account activity to prevent and minimize fraud.
- Maintains a comprehensive understanding of fraud trends across the industry, region, and credit union membership.
- Processes debit card disputes and fraud claims in accordance with applicable regulations (e.g., Regulation E, Regulation CC).
- Assists members with fraud-related issues in a timely and compliant manner.
- Collaborates with operational departments to ensure smooth dispute handling and resolution.
- Provides insights and feedback to enhance fraud prevention efforts and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience with banking transactions and software technology in a professional environment.
- Some college education preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to organize, maintain and utilize electronic filing systems and electronic resources.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with all levels of the organization and external partners.
- Proficiency in Anti-money laundering software and debit card fraud systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Wage & Hour Details
- Full-time, 40 hrs/wk
- This is an non-exempt position
- Starting pay range: $24.00 - $28.00, pay commensurate with experience
