Deliver expert radiation therapy services at a leading academic medical center in Winston-Salem, NC. This contract opportunity welcomes experienced Radiation Therapists to bring advanced skills and compassionate care to patients facing various cancer diagnoses. With a focus on precision treatment supported by state-of-the-art technology and an energetic team environment, you will play a vital role in improving patient outcomes.

Location:Based at a major medical center featuring 885 licensed beds and designated as a Level 1 Trauma facility, this site supports a high patient volume of 75-95 daily, offering exposure to diverse cases in oncology. The center is also recognized for its Chest Pain and Stroke Centers, adding to the breadth of exceptional care.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer radiation therapy treatments following physician prescriptions, utilizing Elekta technology and Mosaiq EMR systems
  • Collaborate closely with lead technologists and multidisciplinary teams to maintain quality and safety standards
  • Participate in weekend rotations with no on-call or major holiday requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with departmental protocols within a fast-paced setting
  • Engage in orientation and onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Radiation Therapist with completion of at least one prior travel contract
  • Valid BLS certification and ARRT-RT credential
  • Proficiency with Elekta equipment and Mosaiq software required
  • Ability to care for patients ranging from 3 months old to geriatric populations across all types of cancers

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 4-10 hour shifts or 5-8 hour shifts, depending on the weekly schedule cycle
  • Shift options include 7:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
  • Weekend rotation required; no holiday or call duty expectations
