Job Responsibilities and Required/Preferred Skills & Requirements
Job Responsibilities:

Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in the Electrophysiology (EP) and Cardiac Cath Labs
\t
- \t
Prepare procedure rooms, set up equipment, and ensure sterile field maintenance
\t
- \t
Perform EKG lead placement and patient preparation, including access site prep
\t
- \t
Monitor patients and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
\t
- \t
Scrub, circulate, and assist during procedures including:

- \t\t
Diagnostic catheterizations (adult)
\t\t
- \t\t
Permanent and temporary pacemaker insertions
\t\t
- \t\t
Pulmonary artery (PA) line insertion
\t\t
- \t\t
Right heart catheterizations
\t\t
- \t\t
Cardiac ablations, conduction studies, and cardioversion
\t\t
- \t\t
Insertion/programming of AICDs
\t\t
\t\t
\t\t
\t\t
\t\t
\t\t
\t
\t

Maintain and operate EP lab equipment, fluoroscopy, Siemens systems, and ultrasound devices

Ensure infection control and sterile technique throughout procedures

Document procedures accurately in Epic EMR
\t

Maintain inventory and prepare necessary supplies for daily cases
\t

\t

Required Qualifications/Skills:

Minimum 1 year of EP or CVT experience
\t
- \t
ARRT or CCI certification
\t
- \t
South Carolina QRSA license in-hand (or in process with proof)
\t

BLS and ACLS certifications
\t
- \t
Proficiency with Epic EMR
\t
- \t
Radiation badge provided by agency (required)
\t

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
\t

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

Teaching or community hospital experience
\t

Experience with perioperative cardiac procedures

Flexibility to float between like units if needed

Knowledge of adult cardiology patient care and cardiac rhythm interpretation
