Lion Country Safari is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Lead Administrator to support our HR department and general office administration. This hybrid role is crucial in ensuring smooth HR operations while also providing comprehensive administrative support to leadership and staff. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Human Resources Support

  • Assist in recruitment processes (e.g., job postings, screening, background checks).
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparation of new hire documents and conducting orientations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (physical/digital files and HRIS).
  • Benefits administration, including enrollments, terminations, and employee inquiries.
  • Prepare basic HR reports and help with compliance documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure sensitive employee information is handled with discretion.
  • Keep training and equipment logs accurate and up to date.
  • Assist in organizing company events, training sessions, and employee engagement activities.

Administrative Support

  • Perform general administrative tasks including filing, scanning, proofreading and data entry.
  • Assist with company-wide communications, memos, and form revisions.
  • Schedule and prepare materials for safety and department meetings.
  • Manage company contact lists and vehicle lists.
  • Process requisitions for executive officers and handle document preparation as needed.
  • Maintain administrative files, including insurance certificates and liability claims.
  • Document guest incidents and communicate with the insurance company as required.
  • Answer and redirect phone calls and assist at the front desk when necessary.
  • Coordinate shipping, package handling, and maintain supplies in the copy room.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in administrative, clerical, or HR-related roles.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism and ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); HRIS knowledge preferred (e.g., Paylocity).
  • Ability to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) a plus.
  • Familiarity with employment laws, safety protocols, and HR compliance standards.
  • Customer-service mindset and proactive attitude.
  • Experience with insurance documentation and incident reporting is beneficial.

  • Willingness to provide support in other areas as needed.
