Job Description Job Title: Sewing Machine Operator

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM

Pay: $18–$22 per hour (Depending on Experience)

We’re looking for a skilled Sewing Machine Operator who brings craftsmanship, speed, and problem‑solving to the table. In this role, you’ll help bring new product ideas to life — transforming sketches and patterns into high‑quality prototypes. If you love precision, enjoy hands‑on creative work, and thrive in a collaborative sample‑lab environment, this is where you’ll shine.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner closely with designers during the prototyping stage before products move to mass production
  • Cut, sew, and assemble backpack samples using design sketches, CAD patterns, and spec packages
  • Troubleshoot sewing and assembly challenges and recommend better build methods
  • Communicate effectively with patternmakers and product teams to refine designs
  • Complete sample projects on schedule with consistent accuracy
  • Verify pattern sets for correctness and structural integrity
  • Measure, evaluate, and document finished prototypes
  • Support general lab operations, including maintaining shared spaces, distributing mail, and preparing shipments

Essential Skills

  • Strong sewing and upholstery skills, including proficiency with industrial sewing machines
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on sewing experience
  • Experience with double‑needle sewing
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English

Bonus Skills

  • Hand‑sewing ability
  • Basic computer skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Holladay, UT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
