Job Title: Lead Billing Specialist
Location: Remote (Based in Portland Oregon or Dallas, TX preferred)
Compensation: $85,000 – $105,000+ annually + full benefits
About the Role:
We’re seeking a Billing Specialist with hands-on experience in SaaS subscription models to lead accurate invoicing, revenue recognition, and customer billing support. This is a key, high-visibility role in a fast-paced environment that values precision, efficiency, and a customer-first mindset.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Manage the end-to-end billing process for recurring and usage-based SaaS subscriptions

Ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoicing and revenue recognition

Partner with Sales, Finance, and Customer Success to align contract terms with billing
-
Resolve billing discrepancies related to overages, renewals, and contract changes

Provide high-touch billing support for key enterprise clients

Address and resolve customer billing inquiries and payment issues

Reconcile payments, refunds, credits, and chargebacks while maintaining accurate financial records

Identify opportunities to streamline and automate billing processes

Collaborate with IT and Finance to integrate billing systems with CRM and ERP platforms
What You Bring:

5+ years of experience in billing operations within SaaS, fintech, or other subscription-based models

In-depth knowledge of subscription and recurring revenue billing practices

A customer-first approach and excellent communication skills
-
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for resolving complex billing challenges

Bonus: Experience supporting finance teams with audit and compliance processes
