Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An experienced registered nurse with expertise in OR tech responsibilities is needed for a contract position in Honaunau, HI. This role requires versatility in various surgical environments, including general surgeries, traumas, orthopedics, OBGYN procedures, and endoscopies. Candidates must be prepared to take call and work four 10-hour shifts per week, ensuring critical support throughout surgical cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons by scrubbing in and providing sterile instruments during diverse surgeries
- Prepare operating rooms and equipment for procedures
- Monitor patient vitals and maintain a sterile environment throughout surgeries
- Collaborate effectively with surgical teams in high-pressure situations
- Respond promptly during on-call hours to support emergent cases
Desired Qualifications:
- Proven clinical experience in OR nursing or surgical tech roles
- Proficiency in general surgery, trauma care, orthopedics, OBGYN, and endoscopy assistance
- Ability to take call and manage on-call responsibilities professionally
