Essential Functions for Commercial HVAC Service Technician :
- Provide preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC equipment
Essential Functions for Residential HVAC Service Technician:
- Troubleshoot and repair residential heat pumps, gas furnaces, air conditioners, water heaters, control systems, and accessories
Qualifications and Requirements HVAC Service Technicians:
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
- Understand basic HVAC components, controls, airflow, and static pressure (Residential HVAC Tech)
- Excellent proficiency in air flow diagnostics, refrigerant leak detection, and electrical troubleshooting (Commercial HVAC Tech)
- Strong client service and communication skills
- Exposure to major brands of equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Understand the use of flat rate service pricing and repair estimating
- Able to work irregular and extended hours
- Ability to pass background screen, drug screen, and clean MVR
