We are seeking a skilled and compassionate massage therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about health and wellness focused on client recovery, has excellent hands on skills, committed to delivering outstanding client experiences. You will provide a variety of massage techniques tailored to meet individual client needs, ensuring relaxation, pain relief and overall wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assessing Client Needs
- Conduct intake interviews to understand the client's medical history, stress areas, and personal goals.
- Evaluate physical conditions and determine suitable massage techniques.
2. Providing Massage Treatments
- Perform various massage techniques (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, sports, trigger point) based on client needs.
- Apply pressure and movement to muscles and soft tissues for therapeutic benefits.
3. Ensuring Client Comfort and Safety
- Create a calm, safe, and hygienic environment.
- Explain procedures and ensure clients are comfortable before, during, and after the session.
4. Maintaining Professional Standards
- Adhere to ethical and confidentiality guidelines.
- Follow health and safety regulations, including sanitizing equipment and hands before/after sessions.
5. Documenting and Tracking Progress
- Keep detailed records of each session, including techniques used and client feedback.
- Monitor client progress and adapt techniques as necessary.
6. Educating Clients
- Offer guidance on stretching, relaxation techniques, posture, and general wellness.
- Recommend follow-up treatments or lifestyle changes to support healing.
7. Managing Business Tasks
- Schedule appointments and manage bookings.
- Handle payments, maintain inventory of supplies, and market services.
