Job Opportunity: Warehouse Team Leader
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Job Location: North Logan, UT
Hours/Days of Position: Monday - Thursday 4pm - 2:30am
At Spartronics, the Team Leaders direct the work of Supply Chain Buyers and Master Schedulers who perform a variety of functions that directly or indirectly support production functions. This may include, but is not limited to, production assembly, machine operation, and/or a variety of material control functions. They are responsible for monitoring quality and mentoring respective team members.
What a Day Looks Like:
- Manage strategic suppliers and commodities to meet quality, delivery, and cost savings objectives
- Lead, train, and motivate the supply chain team to achieve operational excellence and meet performance targets
- Monitor inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and audits
- Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping of goods
- Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols, as well as adherence to company policies and procedures
- Manage suppliers for purchase orders to ensure quality and on-time delivery
- Maintain the integrity of MRP parameters (lot/order size, lead time, and safety stock)
- Coordinate quality issues with suppliers as required
- Work closely with manufacturing, shipping/receiving, and project management personnel to avoid any adverse production impact from supplier delivery delays
- Analyze data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement
- Recommend more efficient and proficient processes
- Negotiation skills used to meet cost savings and cash management objectives
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to manage inventory levels and address any supply-related issues
- Prepare and issue RFPs with appropriate customer flow downs, terms, and conditions
- Oversee Master Scheduling activities to ensure alignment between material and customer orders
- Ensure compliance with customer due dates
- Required to attend scheduling meetings and other meetings as requested
- Assist staff to resolve complex or out of policy problems
Requirements:
What You’ll Need to Bring:
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field (preferred)
- 5+ years of related work experience in supply chain, warehouse, or inventory management
- 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role (preferred)
Skills:
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively lead and coordinate a diverse team
- Knowledge of electronic components and quality criteria
- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and solve problems efficiently
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
- Full working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems/MRP
