As an Automation Technician, you will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on automated equipment. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues in real-time, assist in the installation and commissioning of new automation systems, and support upgrades and modifications to existing equipment. You will also work with vendors and engineers to improve system reliability and efficiency, maintain documentation of repairs and system performance, and collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on equipment.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and trainer for all equipment inside the fulfillment center.
- Work with smart technologies, such as robots and automated conveyor systems.
- Monitor system performance and respond to alerts or failures.
- Collaborate with operations teams for timely order fulfillment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues.
- Maintain documentation of repairs and system performance.
- Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and providing feedback.
Essential Skills
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and warehouse control systems (WCS).
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
- Experience with 480V, 3 Phase motors, and automation troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Keeva Robotics and Knapp systems.

Work Environment
This role involves lifting, constant movement, standing for extended periods, and reaching with arms and hands. You should be comfortable lifting at least 50 lbs., and engaging in stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are necessary. Frequent use of computers and other technology is required to perform job functions, including handheld equipment. Shifts include Thursday 5pm-5:30am, Friday & Saturday 7pm-3:30am, Sunday 6:30pm-5am, and Monday-Wednesday 5pm-3:30am.

The pay range for this position is $58656.00 - $97968.00/yr.
