POSITION SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a pivotal role in the organization's talent strategy, focusing on identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet the company's staffing needs. This position is responsible for developing and implementing effective talent acquisition strategies, collaborating with hiring managers to define job requirements, sourcing candidates through various channels, including maintain and building relationships with local schools and managing the full recruitment lifecycle. The Talent Acquisition Specialist reports to the Human Resources Manager.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following, but other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for the full lifecycle of talent acquisition and on-boarding process for all employees which includes posting and closing jobs, screening resumes, interviewing, conducting background checks, and offering jobs.
- Collaborate with department managers to understand their staffing needs and develop comprehensive job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Attend and participate in job and career fairs, advisory boards, and other career events representing Checkered Flag in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with school partners on speaking engagements, open houses, career events, other professional events, along with job boards, social media, professional networks, and industry events to attract talent to the company.
- Assist with new hire orientation training program and setup.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational/Industrial Psychology, Management, or another related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of general HR-related experience is required, which includes administrator experience of an HRIS, and recruiting.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Demonstrated organizational and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and management.
VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Certification from SHRM, HRCI, or ATD a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive industry a plus.
REPORTS TO THIS POSITION
- No direct reports.
Normal working schedule: 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, with a flexible start time option.
