Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A registered nurse with expertise in the operating room is needed for a contract opportunity in Santa Barbara, CA. This role requires a professional with at least one year of nursing experience, with a focus on eye surgery highly preferred. Candidates must have current certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and a valid California State Nursing License. Conscious sedation experience is mandatory to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.

Schedule:

  • Day shift, 5 days a week
  • 8-hour shifts from 08:30 to 17:30

Responsibilities include assisting surgical teams in the operating room, monitoring patient vital signs during conscious sedation, and maintaining accurate documentation through Epic charting software. The position involves working closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional perioperative care.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current California State Nursing License
  • Certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Minimum of one year operating room nursing experience
  • Proven experience with conscious sedation
  • Eye surgery experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records system
