Dental Hygienist

Diamond Braces is seeking a Licensed Dental Hygienist to support our expanding pediatric dentistry services while also assisting our orthodontic clinical teams. This role offers variety within a structured, multi-location practice. Do you have a smile that lights up the room? Join our fun, fast-paced dental team as a Dental Hygienist! On pediatric dentistry days, the hygienist will be supported by a dedicated Dental Assistant for chairside support, room setup, and patient flow.

Key Responsibilities:

Dental Hygiene & Pediatric Care

• Perform dental cleanings, scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
• Conduct oral health assessments, including medical history review and oral cancer screenings.
• Take and review diagnostic dental X-rays.
• Provide pediatric dental hygiene care using age-appropriate techniques.
• Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and preventive care.
• Help develop and lead pediatric hygiene workflows.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Orthodontic & Clinical Support

• Assist orthodontists during patient care.
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments.
• Take orthodontic X-rays, photos, and scans.
• Support patient flow and chair turnover.
• Provide post-treatment instructions.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.

General Responsibilities

• Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
• Collaborate with clinical and front desk teams.
• Travel between Brooklyn Diamond Braces locations.
• Stay current on dental hygiene best practices.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State Dental Hygienist license.
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Pediatric dentistry experience or interest preferred.
• Comfort working in pediatric and orthodontic settings.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Reliable transportation for travel between locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: Pay range starting at $45.00 an hour; final offer will be determined by experience and qualifications.

Job Location: In-person; Bronx & Manhattan, NY – Multiple Diamond Braces Locations

Work Hours: Monday-Thursday (8:30 am - 6 pm or 9:30 am - 7 pm), Friday (8:30 am - 5 pm), Saturday (8:30 am - 4 pm)
