Job Description

The Remote Call Center Representative supports callers seeking assistance with enrollment services. This role involves educating clients on managed care, guiding them through enrollment choices, and ensuring all forms and documentation are processed accurately. The Representative is expected to maintain strong program knowledge, deliver excellent customer service, and support call center operations in a fast paced environment.

Bilingual Requirement
This position requires the ability to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming calls regarding enrollment services and provide clear and accurate information
  • Mail requested materials to callers and refer individuals as needed for concerns or unresolved issues
  • Educate clients on managed care options
  • Assess client health care needs and assist with selecting appropriate health plans
  • Support clients with enrollment and disenrollment processes
  • Review enrollment and disenrollment forms for accuracy and completeness
  • Receive and sort enrollment and disenrollment documents
  • Perform managed care education and enrollment services during high call volume periods
  • Raise issues or concerns to the Central Operations Supervisor promptly
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
  • Some Saturday work is required

Requirements

  • Prior call center experience is preferred due to the rigorous nature of training
  • One to two years of call center background strongly preferred
  • Ability to learn new programs quickly and apply training effectively
  • Strong computer skills including reliable typing speed and comfort with computer use
  • High reliability and punctuality to ensure availability during operating hours
  • Positive and proactive attitude in a high volume support environment
  • Strong customer service background with at least two years of experience in human services or public facing roles
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to follow directions
  • Ability to work courteously and professionally with diverse populations
  • Capable of working under pressure and managing multiple tasks

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Training Schedule
Full attendance is required for four weeks of training
Training hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time

Post Training Schedule Options
• 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST
• 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM EST
• 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM EST

Candidates should expect to work a minimum of four days each week with a fixed schedule selected by the client.
Work hours include Monday through Friday 8 AM to 8 PM EST and rotating Saturdays 10 AM to 6 PM EST.

Bring Your Own Device Requirements

This role requires the Customer Service Representative to provide their own computer or laptop with one of the following operating systems

  • Windows 10
  • Chromebooks and Mac Laptops are not permitted

Additional equipment requirements

  • A wired USB plug and play headset with microphone and noise suppression
  • Bluetooth headsets are not permitted
  • Internet service must meet the following minimum speeds
  • Single user download speed of 25 Mbps
  • Shared connection download speed of 50 Mbps
  • Upload speed of 5 Mbps minimum and 10 Mbps preferred
  • Mobile hotspots cannot be used as the primary internet connection
  • Device must connect to router using a Category 5 cable
  • Chromebooks are not permitted
