Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

for Developmental Pediatrics

Location: Baytown, TX


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Baytown, TX. In this role, you will collaborate with a licensed Occupational Therapist(OT) to deliver high-quality care, supporting children in achieving their developmental and functional goals. Your expertise will help enhance daily living skills, motor function, and overall independence for our pediatric clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the OT, focusing on motor skills, sensory integration, and functional independence.
  • Monitor and document client progress, providing insightful feedback to the OT for treatment adjustments.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of interventions and outcomes while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Educate and support families by teaching therapeutic techniques and exercises for continued progress at home.
  • Ensure the therapy environment is clean, organized, and equipped with properly sanitized and functioning tools.

Requirements:


- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification by the NBCOT

- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy

- Active state license in Texas to practice as a COTA

- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a commitment to patient-centered care

- Passion for helping children achieve developmental milestones.


Preferred:

- CPR and First Aid Certification

- Experience working with pediatric or outpatient populations
