As a Welder I, you will be responsible for performing entry-level welding tasks under close supervision. You will use arc welding techniques and oxygen/acetylene torches to cut metals and operate hand and power tools for grinding, beveling, and fitting metals together. Your role will involve selecting appropriate electrodes and holders, regulating current and time, and fabricating components from raw stock. Welding certification is preferred, along with 4-5 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Use modification and welding skills at a minimum AWS 3G/4G level to rework cab and other components.
- Perform welding tasks according to blueprints.
- Learn and retain skills needed to complete welding in assigned areas.
- Fabricate components from raw stock following detailed instructions, installation drawings, and blueprints.
- Understand and articulate production flow of assigned product line or area.
- Self-check work and inspect prior processes.
- Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools as required.
- Meet production goals.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Initiate process improvements and support 5S in work area.
- Lead or perform lean events.
- Communicate with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Solve complex problems with minimal assistance.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and weld specifications.
- Experience with fabrication and measurement tools.
- Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
- Basic computer skills.

Work Environment
The work environment is a clean and well-lit shop that is kept organized. Stations are cleaned up every day 15 minutes before shift ends. The shop is not climate-controlled. Employees work during the first shift from 5:30am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday, with optional overtime on Fridays from 5am to 10am.

This is a Permanent position based out of Ephrata, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $58240.00/yr.
- 401k: 100% match of first 3%, and 50% match for the next 2%
- 4 Tiers: Employee only, Employee and Spouse, Employee and Children, Family. 3 plan options: PPO, HDHP Gold, HDHP Silver
- Dental and Vision Plans
- Basic life insurance coverage of $30,000
- PTO: 60 hours in first 2 years, then 100 hours year 2-5, 140 hours year 5-10, 180 hours at 10 years and after

This is a fully onsite position in Ephrata,PA.
