Job DescriptionWater Truck Driver
Geotemps, Inc. Is seeking a skilled, and safety-conscious Water Truck Driver to support mineral exploration drilling operations in Carbon County, Wyoming (near Casper, WY). The role is critical to maintain safe and efficient drilling by ensuring consistent water delivery, dust suppression, and compliance with site requirements. The driver will be responsible for operating and maintaining a water truck in remote exploration environments, often under challenging terrain and weather conditions. Lodging will be provided by the client + per diem.Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a water truck to deliver water to drill sites, sumps, and support dust control on access roads and drill pads.
  • Monitor water levels at drilling locations and ensure adequate supply to meet operational demands.
  • Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of the water truck (fueling, fluid checks, tire inspections, greasing).
  • Safely haul water from designated sources, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and water-use permits.
  • Assist in site preparation, including road watering for dust control and pad stabilization.
  • Complete and maintain accurate logs of water usage, mileage, fuel consumption, and service records.
  • Communicate effectively with drill crews, supervisors, and logistics coordinators to align water delivery schedules with drilling progress.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including PPE requirements, driving regulations, and site-specific hazard controls.
  • Support other field activities when required, including light labor or assisting with mobilization/demobilization.

Qualifications /Requirements:

  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record (Class A or B depending on truck size).
  • Experience operating water trucks or heavy-duty vehicles in off-road or remote conditions; mineral exploration or mining experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for performing routine inspections and troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Ability to work independently in remote locations with limited supervision.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols in exploration or mining environments (MSHA, OSHA, or provincial/state equivalents). (Preferred not obligatory)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work long shifts in variable weather and terrain.

Work conditions

  • Remote field environments with camp accommodations provided.
  • Extended hours, including nights and weekends, may be required to support drilling operations.
  • Exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
  • Shift: 12 PM – 12 AM
  • Per Diem & Transportation: Provided from candidate’s origin to the project site and back
  • Rotation: 40-day shift (can be extended to 50 consecutive days)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay rate: $35+ DOE
  • Camp accommodation and meals provided during rotations.
  • Travel and/or per diem allowance where applicable.
