Job Title: OB/GYN Sonographer
Location: Southgate, KY 41071
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $55.00 – $60.00 per hour
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced OB/GYN Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in an outpatient clinical setting. The Sonographer will work under the general direction of a physician and/or clinical leadership, performing high-quality obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound procedures in accordance with AIUM and ACOG guidelines. This role requires strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations

Follow imaging protocols and professional standards established by the Medical Director

Produce high-quality images and accurate diagnostic data using ultrasound equipment

Prepare patients and assist physicians during ultrasound-guided procedures

Obtain and verify patient history and supporting documentation prior to exams

Assess patient physical, psychosocial, and educational needs

Explain procedures clearly to patients, families, and clinical staff

Maintain accurate and timely documentation, order entry, and exam tracking in HIS

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, safety, and departmental policies

Maintain equipment, report maintenance needs, and ensure proper operation

Participate in peer review, departmental meetings, and process improvement initiatives

Support efficient workflow, same-day add-on exams, and emergency scheduling as needed

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Required Skills & Experience
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in high-risk or office-based OB/GYN ultrasound

Proficiency in real-time imaging techniques including M-mode, pulse, and color Doppler
-
Strong knowledge of fetal anatomy, cross-sectional anatomy, and medical terminology

Ability to communicate relevant technical findings to interpreting physicians

Experience with PACS and structured reporting systems

Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
Education Requirements
-
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Ultrasound or Allied Health
OR -
Graduation from an accredited ultrasound training program
-
Completion of 30 ARDMS CEUs every 3 years
Certifications & Licensure
-
RDMS (OB/GYN) – Required

BLS (American Heart Association) – Required
