Position Summary

Global C2 Integration Technologies is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to lead and oversee all technical documentation supporting the lifecycle of Air Defense Command and Control (C2) mission systems, including development, integration, testing, deployment, training, and sustainment. This role serves as the authority for Government documentation, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, configuration management, cybersecurity standards, and ISO 9001-aligned quality processes. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, review, and delivery of technical documentation, including system architecture descriptions, technical diagrams, data flows, and computing environment representations.
  • Establish and enforce documentation standards, templates, formatting guidelines, and quality controls across all program documentation.
  • Provide direct supervision and guidance to Technical Writers, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to program requirements.
  • Review, approve, and release formal Government deliverables, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, and quality standards.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with configuration-controlled system baselines, validated test results, and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Oversee documentation supporting system integration and test events (TRR, FQT, SAT), including traceability between requirements, procedures, and results.
  • Coordinate documentation efforts across mission systems, infrastructure (Windows/Linux, virtualization, networks), test activities, and training programs to ensure technical accuracy and integration.
  • Manage documentation schedules aligned with program milestones, identify risks to delivery, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide status reporting to Program Management and leadership on documentation progress, risks, and deliverables.
  • Maintain control of documentation within configuration-managed repositories, ensuring version control, ISO 9001 alignment, and proper handling of proprietary information.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, IT, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience developing and managing technical documentation in defense or Government environments.
  • Demonstrated experience producing and overseeing formal Government deliverables, including test documentation and training materials.
  • Experience developing technical diagrams and documenting system architectures, computing environments, and infrastructure.
  • Experience leading or supervising documentation teams.
  • Strong understanding of documentation governance and configuration management processes.
  • Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Air Defense or C2 mission systems.
  • Experience supporting DoD system integration or test programs.
  • Experience documenting distributed or virtualized architectures.
  • Experience coordinating documentation across multi-disciplinary technical programs.
  • Familiarity with operational-level planning.
