Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Inverness, Illinois. This is a Contract to permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in invoice processing, coding, and payment management.
Responsibilities:
• Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Code invoices correctly according to company standards and requirements.
• Manage check runs efficiently, ensuring payments are processed as scheduled.
• Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies or payment issues.
• Utilize Sage Intacct software to streamline accounts payable tasks and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all financial activities.
• Support month-end closing processes by providing accurate accounts payable data.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency within the accounts payable function.
• Proven experience in accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and coding.
• Familiarity with Sage software is required, preferably Intacct.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with vendors and internal teams.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.
• Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations related to accounts payable.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
