Job Title: Building Engineer III
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Building Engineer III responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building systems. This includes HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and life safety systems. You will perform preventative maintenance and ensure all work complies with safety codes, while managing and reporting modifications and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Ensure all work performed meets required safety codes.
- Report modifications and repairs into CMMS for review.
- Operate HVAC systems and make adjustments to building automation systems.
- Monitor and provide quality control for subcontractors performing maintenance or repairs.
Essential Skills
- Commercial building experience, particularly high-rise maintenance.
- Proficient in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and troubleshooting.
- Minimum of five years relevant work experience as a technician.
- CFC Universal certification required.
- Proficient knowledge of commercial building systems.
- Ability to read trade-related electrical, mechanical, and plumbing drawings and schematics.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Journeyman level experience.
- Basic PC skills and ability to learn company-specific software.
- Ability to adapt to new or changing software programs.
- Proficiency in automated work order systems preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of energy management systems and building VAV systems.
- May be required to carry and maintain appropriate government credentials.

This is a Permanent position based out of Tysons, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $77000.00/yr.
8% bonus yearly Stock in the company with dividends that get paid yearly. Approximately $21,000 vested over 5 years. OT opportunities
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Tysons,VA.
