Job Description
A growing, multi-discipline engineering firm is seeking a Project Engineer to join its Water team in Tampa, FL. This client-facing role supports diverse water resources projects while leading technical delivery and mentoring staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and evaluate waterway structures, dams, locks, flood risk management, hydropower, ecosystem restoration, and waterfront projects.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM) and stormwater analyses.
- Conduct inspections, document findings, and support design efforts.
- Prepare construction documents and ensure technical quality.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers.
- Assist with project scopes, proposals, and technical management.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (water resources or hydraulic/hydrologic focus); M.S. preferred.
- 5+ years of water resources experience.
- EIT preferred; P.E. licensure a plus.
- Familiarity with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, ArcGIS preferred.
- USACE, NEPA, Civil Works, and permitting experience a plus.
