Salary Range: $56,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for manufacturing projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to develop accurate and competitive proposals.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for raw materials and specialized services.
- Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities within project estimates.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive database of historical cost data and pricing models.
- Present and explain estimates to internal stakeholders and external clients as needed.
Recommended Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material costs, labor rates, and overhead calculation.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using ERP or estimating software.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems relevant to manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for interpreting technical drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
- Experience in a contract manufacturing or job shop environment.
