SGI Global is seeking an Adjudicator to support the United States Capitol Police (USCP), Office of Background Investigations and Credentialing (OBIC). This position plays a critical role in evaluating applicant backgrounds, ensuring the hiring of personnel who meet the USCP's strict suitability standards.
Responsibilities
- Review applicant personal history statements and initiate criminal background checks (WALES/NCIC), DMV, credit, and local law enforcement checks.
- Evaluate candidate background information against USCP Employment Suitability Standards.
- Conduct investigatory interviews and reconcile background information.
- Review polygraph, psychological, and medical reports for discrepancies.
- Upload documentation into the case management system and assemble case jackets.
- Perform criminal name checks for special events, as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of adjudicative and investigative support experience.
- High school diploma or GED; recognized training in background investigations (FBITP, law enforcement training, or equivalent).
- Thorough understanding of investigative procedures and adjudicative guidelines.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated full-scope background investigation.
- U.S. Citizen
