Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher is needed to support a high school program focused on life skills and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) support. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 5th and is located near Lake Ariel, PA, at 1970 Easton Turnpike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to a caseload of approximately 15 students in a skills-based classroom, emphasizing life skills and ASD support
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each students unique needs
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and related service providers to support student growth and development
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Background in teaching life skills classes within a special education high school setting
- Appropriate teaching certification in Special Education
- Strong communication and organizational skills
