This role is ideal for someone who wants steady hours, clear responsibilities, and long-term growth as Iron Press Cleaners expands its route delivery and retail operations. This position represents the company in two critical roles: route delivery service and front counter customer service associate.
Responsibilities
Route Delivery:
- Load van, organize route, and deliver finished orders accurately
- Pick up new orders from residential and commercial customers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with route customers
- Keep van clean, organized, and professional in appearance
- Lift 40–50 lbs safely and regularly
- Handle customer concerns with professionalism and solution-focused communication
Front Counter / Retail:
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service
- Check in and release orders accurately using POS system
- Clearly explain services, pricing, turnaround times, and promotions
- Tag, sort, and verify garments for production
- Handle payments, receipts, and basic cash handling
- Resolve basic customer issues or escalate appropriately
- Keep front counter, lobby, and workspace clean and organized
- Support production flow when needed during slow periods.
Requirements
- Clean driving record
- No criminal background
- Able to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable in busy traffic and retail environments
- Confident working independently and with a team
- Punctual, dependable, and professional in appearance
- Basic computer/POS comfort
