We’re partnering with a school district in Lake County, IL to hire a dedicated School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year.


In this role, you will support students by promoting academic achievement, social-emotional development, and overall well-being through assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators, families, and support staff. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in creating inclusive, supportive learning environments that help all students succeed.


Position Details:

  • Location: Onsite in Lake County, IL (no remote options available)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, follows school schedule
  • Guaranteed Hours: Up to 7.5 hours daily
  • Start Date: August 2026
  • End Date: June 2027
  • Grade Level(s): Middle School


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for students on on the Autism spectrum to support special education eligibility, instructional planning, and intervention development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs and behavioral intervention plans
  • Provide direct and indirect services including counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute data-driven recommendations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychology endorsement via the Illinois State Board of Education
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments in a school-based setting, particularly with students with ASD
  • Strong knowledge of special education law and best practices in the state of Illinois
