Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant is needed to provide services for students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a Midlothian, VA school setting. This contract position spans the full school year and focuses on supporting pediatric speech and language development within an educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Certification in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Experience working in pediatric or school settings, including clinical fellowship year (CFY) or relevant practicum
  • Knowledge of speech and language disorders common in children and adolescents
  • Ability to implement individualized treatment plans according to educational and therapeutic goals
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Licensure compliant with state and federal regulations for school-based therapy services

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments and screenings for K-12 students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication needs
  • Provide direct therapy services in school or healthcare settings as appropriate
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data and observations
  • Communicate with teachers, parents, and service providers regarding student needs and outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school district and regulatory standards
