We are seeking a skilled and dependable Metal Fabricator / Welder to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is experienced in blueprint reading, layout, fabrication, and welding, and thrives in a collaborative team environment. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to fabricate and weld stairs, railings, and custom metal components using a variety of metals.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications
- Perform layout, measuring, and marking of materials for fabrication
- Cut, bend, shape, and assemble metal components using appropriate tools and machinery
- Fabricate and weld stairs, railings, and custom metal structures
- Work with various metals including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding as required
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and safety regulations
- Collaborate effectively with team members to complete projects on schedule
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Prior experience as a metal fabricator and welder (required)
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Proficiency in layout, fabrication, cutting, and bending
- Experience welding stairs and railings of various styles and materials
- Knowledge of different welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick)
- Ability to use fabrication equipment and hand tools safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
