Job Opportunity – Operating Room RN (Transplant Specialist) – Florida
Start Date: April 20, 2026
Location: Davie, Florida
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36-40 guaranteed hours per week; shifts from 06:45–17:15 with liver call coverage; on-call requirement of 1 shift per week plus two 12-hour weekend shifts per month
Highlights:
- Specialized transplant OR position focused on liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures
- Experience required in full transplant process including organ implantation, not just procurement
- Work at a 230-bed short-term acute care teaching facility with a daily OR census of 55-60 patients
- Epic charting system with 40 hours of orientation provided
- 18 operating rooms supporting a high-acuity transplant program

Requirements:
- Active Florida RN license or pending license accepted
- Minimum 2 years of direct operating room experience with strong transplant background required
- Documented expertise in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures reflected on skills checklist
- Proficiency in MISONIX/CUSA technology mandatory
- Current AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS certifications required at time of submission
- NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start date
- Negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine/cotinine test required; must be nicotine-free with no exceptions
- COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Willingness to participate in teaching and training of students and new staff
