We’re looking for a Resource Manager who is passionate about capacity planning, operational efficiency and building scalable systems that support both the creative and client-facing sides of the business. You’ll be at the center of it all, working closely with Project Management, Creative, Production, Finance and Account Management teams.


This is an Independent Contractor role (30–40 hours/week, 3-month contract) with the potential to move into a full-time role at the end of the contract. You’ll be hands-on: forecasting and allocating resources, maintaining our operational tools + platforms, supporting freelancer hiring and onboarding, creating pricing proposals, and helping shape the organization structure of STN Digital.




Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain employee capacity forecasts - assigning resources, balancing workloads and tracking utilization targets
  • Partner with HR to source, recruit and onboard new Independent Contractors
  • Ensure the maintenance of onboarding and training materials for new resources
  • Collaborate with STN leadership on organizational changes and resourcing models
  • Partner with PM team to Implement process improvements and pilot changes to drive efficiency
  • Monitor client budget burn and offer solutions to improve profitability
  • Support pricing for new business proposals - maintain rate cards and margin guardrails
  • Serve as lead for operational platforms like Google Suite, Wrike, Harvest and more
  • Review and approve independent contractor invoices on a monthly basis and process monthly payrun reports for STN leadership
  • Create dashboards and operational reports

Deliver a reliable, agency-wide capacity and pricing engine that keeps employee utilization within target.



Compensation: $30.84/hour - $44.23/hour depending on experience.

Requirements:

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Proven resource/capacity planning in a digital/creative agency or similar multi-discipline environment.
  • Expert problem solver who enjoys tackling challenges.
  • Strong financial fluency: pricing, rate cards, utilization, margin levers; invoice and timesheet reconciliation.
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Sheets/Excel formulas, data analysis functions, scripting and modeling; comfort presenting projections to internal and client stakeholders.
  • Passion for finding process efficiencies and automated solutions for recurring initiatives
  • Clear, concise communicator; confident facilitator able to influence across PM, Creative, Client Services, Finance, and HR.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload independently with little to no oversight.
  • Process design and documentation; data hygiene mindset; change management and training experience. High attention to detail.


Preferred Skills & Abilities

  • Platform expertise: Wrike, Harvest, Google Workspace, Bill.com or similar platforms.
  • Sound judgment on when to flex full-time staff vs. independent contractors; understanding of SOWs, scopes, and change-order mechanics.
  • Experience building clients-facing pricing and managing internal budgets.
  • Experience hiring, onboarding, managing independent contractors/freelancers in partnership with HR.
  • People enablement: onboarding, training, and mentoring of project managers and independent contractors.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Project/Resource Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 4–7 years in agency operations/resource management/traffic or delivery operations; multi-team (Client Services + Creative) exposure preferred.
