About the Role
Miceli Roofing is looking for an experienced and dependable Roofing Foreman to lead our field crews across residential and commercial projects throughout Rhode Island. As Foreman, you'll be the boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for ensuring every job is completed safely, efficiently, and to our high standards of quality.
This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll be working alongside your crew while managing the day-to-day operations of the job site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise roofing crews on residential and commercial job sites
- Oversee installation of asphalt shingles, flat roofing systems, flashing, underlayment, and related components
- Ensure all work meets Rhode Island building codes and manufacturer specifications
- Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce OSHA safety standards on all job sites
- Communicate job progress, material needs, and any issues to the project manager
- Manage material staging, equipment, and crew scheduling on site
- Inspect completed work for quality before job close-out
- Mentor and train junior crew members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
- Coordinate with homeowners and property managers in a professional manner
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of roofing experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems including asphalt shingles, flat/low-slope roofing, and flashing details
- Familiarity with Rhode Island building codes and permit processes
- Valid driver's license — ability to operate company vehicles and trailers
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work at heights in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
