Location: Schodack, NY
Job Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 8PM - 6AM. Due to the schedule, this position is eligible for additional pay via shift differential.
Job Summary: The management, coordination, and execution of warehouse operations. Warehouse operations professionals play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and handling of goods within a warehouse or distribution center. They ensure that products and goods are handled with safety, quality and care as they are moved around and monitor inventory levels to ensure warehouse capacity is met for timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise 10-15 employees who are responsible for handling of freight and make sure proper procedures are followed to minimize claims
- Train and instruct driver staff of the proper handling Standard Operating procedures
- Record daily activities to make sure productivity is maintained at or above the minimum requirements
- Monitor facility and equipment for repairs and ensure repairs are reported appropriately
- Meet claims, utilization and productivity goals set by management
