Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Manufacturing Engineer role in Biddeford, ME. Key Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
· Analyze production workflows and implement process improvements to reduce waste and increase productivity.
· Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement effective solutions.
· Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
· Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen events.
· Evaluate and recommend new equipment, tooling, and technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
· Monitor production metrics and conduct root cause analysis to drive corrective and preventive actions.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies throughout the manufacturing process.
· Assist with new product introductions by developing manufacturing methods, tooling, and process validation.
· Provide technical support and training to production teams to ensure consistent and efficient operations.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
· 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment preferred.
· Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process improvement methodologies, and production systems.
· Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools is highly desirable.
· Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
· Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
· Proficiency with engineering documentation, CAD software, or manufacturing systems is a plus.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple projects.
