Director of Operations
Role Overview: The Director of Operations will oversee multiple manufacturing facilities, ensure efficient operations and drive business growth. This role combines operational excellence with strategic business development to expand market presence and customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term and short-term plans, policies, and programs. Ensure high manufacturing standards and leverage technology for efficiency.
- Operational Leadership: Oversee multiple facilities, ensuring safety, optimal staffing, continuous improvement, and lean principles. Address customer, production, and employee issues.
- Business Development: Lead initiatives to generate new business and expand the customer base. Maintain strong customer relationships and collaborate with sales and marketing.
- People Leadership: Engage with employees, promote teamwork, guide plant management, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Administration: Develop capital expenditure requirements, assist in creating budgets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Travel: Up to 50% travel between facilities and for business development activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in plant management or manufacturing engineering.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes and financial principles.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
