Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
Join our team as an Assembler where you will perform various window and door assembly functions from start to finish, ensuring quality at each phase. You will be responsible for advising team members of shortages or quality issues, inspecting each phase of assembly, reading and following production lists, identifying proper materials, and adhering to standard work, control plans, and written work instructions. Utilize drills, screw guns, nail/staple guns, chop saws, routers, sanders, and other tools and equipment as part of the assembly process.
Responsibilities
- Perform various window and door assembly functions from start to finish.
- Advise team members of shortages/quality issues.
- Inspect each phase of assembly to assure quality.
- Read and follow production lists.
- Identify proper materials for assembly.
- Follow standard work, control plans, and written work instructions.
- Use drills, screw guns, nail/staple guns, chop saws, routers, sanders, and various other tools and equipment.
Essential Skills
- Assembly skills.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Basic reading and math skills.
- High School Graduate/GED/HSED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in production and general labor.
- Familiarity with construction and blueprint reading.
- Mechanical assembly capabilities.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Work Environment
Work in a facility that runs on a 4-10 schedule, Monday to Thursday, with 1st shift from 5 am to 3:30 pm and 2nd shift from 3:30 pm to 2 am. Occasionally, there may be work on Fridays, which will be communicated early in the week. Enjoy two 12-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break. The dress code requires steel-toed shoes, and while the environment is not air-conditioned, the dress code is flexible allowing for shorts and t-shirts. It's important for safety that candidates with long hair wear it up in a ponytail or bun.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dubuque, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.20 - $22.20/hr.
