Department: Quality Control (QC) Reports To: Quality Control Supervisor (or Quality Manager) Location: Robert H. Peterson Co. (On-site Manufacturing & Assembly areas) Shift: Day shift 5:00am - 1:30pm M-F (with occasional overtime as needed) Pay Range: $19-23 hr.
1. Position Summary
The Quality Control Technician Level 1 is an entry-level role responsible for performing basic incoming, in-process, and fabrication inspections to ensure materials, parts, and assemblies meet established RHP quality standards. This position supports documentation, audit preparation, and data entry tasks within the Quality Control department while developing foundational skills in metrology, inspection techniques, and quality system requirements.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Incoming Inspection
· Perform basic visual inspections of purchased components, verifying part number, revision, and quantity.
· Conduct basic dimensional checks using rulers, calipers, and go/no-go gauges.
· Identify and flag obvious nonconformances (damage, incorrect part, visible defects).
· Tag and segregate nonconforming material under supervision.
· Assist in reviewing Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), material certs, and supplier documentation.
. Minimum Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED.
· Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and work instructions.
· Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn inspection methods.
· Basic math skills and understanding of measurement concepts.
· Basic computer proficiency (data entry, email, QT9 preferred).
· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a manufacturing environment.
