A full-time teaching opportunity is available for a professional specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This role is ideal for educators dedicated to supporting and enhancing the learning experience of students with hearing impairments within a dynamic K-12 school setting. The position is contracted for a full semester, providing stability and a focused timeframe to contribute meaningfully to student development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across grade levels K-12
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with support staff and families
- Utilize specialized teaching strategies and assistive technologies to facilitate munication and learning
- Assess student progress and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence
Desired Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education
- Experience working with K-12 students within a school setting
- Strong knowledge of auditory and visual munication methodologies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent munication and organizational skills
