Job Description: The Laborer is responsible for assisting skilled trade workers with daily tasks involving manual labor.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists skilled trade workers with daily tasks
  • Cleans up litter and debris around all facilities
  • Disposes refuse items in designated areas
  • Moves supplies and materials to proper location using wheelbarrows, hand trucks or forklift
  • Operates, washes, waxes, vacuums, and polishes vehicles
  • Assists with moving heavy pieces of machinery and equipment as needed
  • Picks up and delivers materials, tools and contract deliverables to agencies or worksites
  • Assists skilled tradesman with moving hazardous materials
  • Assists technicians in inspecting and collecting data from various sites
  • Performs minor routine maintenance to equipment used in daily functions
  • Performs other related duties as assigned



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work with a variety of hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to read, speak, and write basic English
  • Ability to pass a random DOT drug test if required


Minimum Requirements:

  • Possession of a driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to obtain to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS)
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of laborer experience



Work Conditions:
The employee is regularly required to talk and hear to understand instructions, provide information and respond to safety warnings. Work conditions require the employee to stand; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; taste or smell; and work on scaffolding and ladders. The employee may frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance and lift and/or move heavier objects with assistance.
