Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position seeks skilled Sign Language Interpreters to support K-12 students within public school settings in the Franklin area. The role involves full-time, on-site interpreting services across middle and high schools, working with general education populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation for students in educational settings.
- Facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their peers, teachers, and staff.
- Support accessibility and inclusion within classroom environments.
- Collaborate with educators and support teams to ensure students communication needs are met.
Qualifications:
- Professional Sign Language Interpreter certification required.
- Educational Interpreting Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 or higher.
- Experience working in K-12 educational environments preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work full-time hours from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on site.

- Contract duration: Immediate start through May 22, 2026.
- Caseload includes general education students in grades K-12.
