This role offers the chance to support learners’ growth and independence within a school-based environment, located near Tigard and Beaverton, Oregon. The assignment begins August 20, 2026, and continues through December 18, 2027, providing continuity for students and valuable experience for your own career development.
As a key presence onsite, you’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and an experienced therapy team to address the unique needs of a diverse K-12 caseload over 32 hours per week. Your expertise will play a vital role in empowering students to develop essential skills for classroom participation and daily activities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active or eligible COTA licensure in Oregon
- Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience is a plus
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to adapt to a variety of student needs across grade levels
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Implement occupational therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed OT
- Conduct group and individual sessions to address motor, sensory, and adaptive needs
- Support IEP goal achievement with evidence-based interventions
- Document progress and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families for holistic support
