Volt is immediately hiring for Manufacturing Manager (Food Manufacturing) in Riverside, CA.
This is a Full-Time/Direct Hire opportunity.
Schedule: Standard hours apply, but flexibility is key to meeting production demands. This role is based on-site at a fast-paced food processing facility. Expect a dynamic environment with a mix of desk work, plant floor oversight, and cross-functional collaboration.
Compensation: $120,000–$125,000 annually
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
Qualifications:
- Seasoned Manufacturing Leader: 7+ years of hands-on experience in food processing or manufacturing (specifically with raw foods), with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and leading large teams to success.
- Experience Managing High-Volume Teams: Skilled at overseeing large teams in fast-paced, high-output production environments, ensuring smooth operations across multiple shifts.
- Food Safety Powerhouse: Deep expertise in HACCP, GMP, and regulatory compliance—your knowledge keeps the plant inspection-ready and the product top-tier.
- Lean & Agile Strategist: Skilled in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, you know how to cut waste, boost efficiency, and make data-driven decisions that move the needle.
- Tech-Savvy Problem Solver: Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with the analytical chops to interpret production data and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Commanding Communicator & Team Builder: Exceptional leadership and communication skills—able to inspire teams, resolve issues swiftly, and collaborate across departments to meet production goals.
As a Manufacturing Manager you will:
- Oversee daily operations of the food processing plant
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Manage production schedules and adjust to meet customer demand
- Supervise and train plant staff across multiple shifts
- Implement quality control standards and cost-saving initiatives
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and inventory management
- Analyze production data and lead continuous improvement efforts
- Collaborate with procurement, distribution, and marketing teams
- Maintain records of production and safety activities
- Lead strategic planning and communicate with senior leadership
