Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-26 school year within a K-8 school setting in the Denver area. This role focuses on co-teaching classrooms serving children aged 0-8 and requires an Early Childhood Special Education (0-8) endorsement.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to support the developmental and educational needs of young children with disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers in co-teaching environments
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with state and district standards
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with families and team members
- Participate actively in professional development and team meetings to enhance service delivery
Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education certification with Early Childhood Special Education (0-8) endorsement
- Experience working within early childhood special education, preferably in a co-teaching setting
- Strong understanding of developmental milestones and evidence-based instructional strategies for young learners with disabilities
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments
Location: Denver area
Schedule: Full-time (35+ hours per week)
Duration: Contract through the 2025-26 school year (ASAP start through May 22, 2026)
