Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for an experienced pharmacist with a strong background in inpatient and emergency room settings. You will serve a pivotal role in managing pharmacy operations at a hospital clinic, ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care while overseeing administrative and quality improvement initiatives. This contract position is based in Peridot, Arizona, with a commitment of 13+ weeks and a flexible shift schedule.

Schedule:

  • 4 days per week, 10 hours per shift
  • Shift times variable: days, nights, swing, and weekends

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise daily pharmacy operations in accordance with professional and regulatory standards
  • Develop and monitor operational and financial outcome measures, integrating efforts into organization-wide quality improvement
  • Implement and evaluate departmental policies and procedures to ensure continuous process enhancement
  • Oversee computer-based dispensing systems to maintain efficiency and data accuracy
  • Manage purchasing and inventory to ensure cost-effective availability of pharmaceuticals
  • Support staff development through coaching, performance feedback, and training coordination
  • Prepare monthly reports highlighting operational progress and areas for improvement
  • Participate in ongoing departmental training and quality assurance programs
  • Maintain current skills and competencies through continued education and collaboration

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of professional pharmacy experience, including at least two years in management
  • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy; PharmD preferred, with one year of residency
  • Current, unrestricted pharmacy license; Arizona state license preferred
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire; ACLS and PALS certifications for inpatient/ER pharmacists (PALS training available on-site)
  • Ability to pass background and drug screenings

Systems:

  • Experience with ScriptPro and SP200 Robot, RPMS Electronic Health Record; familiarity with transitioning to new EHR systems is a plus
