Job Summary
You'll provide restorative Swedish massage treatments in a quiet, professional spa environment, personally shaping each guest's experience from prep to follow-up. As a 1099 therapist you'll manage your schedule, deliver consistent, high-quality care, and collaborate with colleagues to grow repeat business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Swedish massage treatments tailored to each client's needs, ensuring comfort, safety, and measurable relaxation outcomes.
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment before sessions to create a welcoming, restorative atmosphere.
- Clean, sanitize, and restock treatment areas and equipment after appointments to maintain spa standards.
- Manage laundry, linens, and supplies so treatment rooms stay fully stocked and professional.
- Collaborate with reception and spa staff to coordinate bookings, client preferences, and follow-up recommendations.
- Promote guest retention by offering appropriate treatment recommendations and encouraging rebookings.
Qualifications
Required (must-have)
- Valid Massage Therapy license issued by the State of New York.
- Eligible to work as an independent contractor (1099).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; caring and professional bedside manner.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow sanitation protocols.
Preferred (nice-to-have)
- Experience delivering Swedish massage in a spa or wellness setting.
- Additional certifications (e.g., deep tissue, prenatal) or continuing-education in bodywork.
- Track record of repeat clients or positive guest feedback.

Onsite at Swedish Hill Farm & Spa -- 2160 Rowley Road, Ballston Spa, NY 12020
Work model: Onsite (independent contractor / 1099) -- flexible shifts.
