Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is based in Walhalla, SC, serving a K-12 school setting from August 5 through May 22 on a contract basis. The position offers the chance to work with a diverse student population in grades Kindergarten through 12th, focusing on pediatric speech and language services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments, evaluations, and individualized education program (IEP) development for K-12 students
- Provide direct and indirect speech therapy services targeting a range of communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff during team meetings to support student progress
- Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with state and school district requirements
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or current Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Valid South Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license
- Educator Speech-Language Therapist Certificate required
- Experience working within pediatric and school healthcare settings preferred
- Ability to work full time during the traditional school year calendar
- No Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supervision included
